The negative effects of smoking on health are a fact proven by scientific research. Cigarettes, containing more than 4,000 harmful chemicals, play a role in the development of many diseases, primarily lung cancer. However, quitting smoking is possible; some of the damage to health that occurs during the quitting process can be reversed.
The Smoking Cessation Outpatient Clinic established within our hospital offers personalized motivational interviews, pharmacological treatments, and regular follow-up services. Patients who apply to our outpatient clinic have the opportunity to benefit from counseling services and smoking cessation medications provided free of charge by the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the harm caused by smoking to each patient’s body will be individually assessed, and appropriate guidance will be provided.
Our outpatient clinic operates in the A Block Main Service Building on the ground floor, two days a week (Monday and Wednesday). Citizens can benefit from this important service by making an appointment.
Remember, the first step to regaining your health is to quit smoking.
